Tradeshows provide you access to an audience of potential buyers, leads, clients and prospects. It is left to you to close them or get them interested enough in your products and services to want to buy, hire, or try.
To do this, you need to get the formula correct. Successful trade show exhibits are usually a combination of multiple crucial factors and elements. While you may not sell everyone, if you line these up correctly, you will drum up considerable business – enough to help cover all your exhibition costs and expenses within a few months. These elements, when combined, are what makes your exhibition perfect.
Compelling Signs and Banners
The first thing you want to do is get compelling signs, banners, and other displays that are sure to bring in much foot traffic. This is imperative, even if you have a groundbreaking product that has set the industry abuzz.
People need to be able to find your tradeshow booth, and the easiest way to do this is strategically place your signs around the exhibition area and have your banners boldly displayed.
Your signs and banners should have bold designs that are also attractive. This unconsciously communicates to your traffic that you are professional. In business, anyone who cares enough about his appearance deserves a shot at being heard.
Well Designed and Attractive Booths
Drab looking booths do not do you any good. Want to be noticed? Ensure that your brand is boldly displayed, and make sure it is attractive. Use bright colours like orange, lemon green, bright blue, and yellow.
However, if you have a well-established brand, just use the company’s brand colors and that will get you noticed as well. The latter is important particularly when you have a new product coming up or have a popular product that everyone wants to know more about or try.
Interactive Displays (if Possible)
Interactive displays are efficient tools during tradeshows. Instead of having to introduce yourself repeatedly or tell people what you do, the interactive display can take care of basic information like that.
The more specific information, however, is something that you would have to deliver to the people who stop over at your booth. For instance, your interactive display can introduce a broad range of your products and services without explaining them in-depth. The detailed explanation will be done by you and your colleagues.
Nothing sucks more for your traffic than having to watch a lame, boring presentation or listen to a weak pitch disguised as information. Your audience came there to be sold. You went to sell to them among other things.
So, get bold, get creative, make a statement and impress your audience into going away with your brochures, giving you their contacts or better still, giving you their business right there.
We have seen people give their business to exhibitionists purely on the basis of an entertaining presentation. So, don’t ever underestimate that. Engagement with the audience, interact with them, sell them, but do it in an entertaining manner.
Out of the Box Marketing
Never joke with your marketing materials. We are not talking about the same marketing materials you took to the exhibition last time. No, go get fresh, new marketing materials with new ideas for your marketing. Think of out of the box marketing strategies. Send emails, engage with customers on social media, incentivize your traffic, and do weird stuff at the venue. If you must, do some brainstorming before heading out to the tradeshow and see what creative marketing ideas you can come up with.
These are the things that make up a perfect tradeshow exhibit. If you can get all of these down, you can bet that your tradeshow will be successful.
